Claudia joined Houston Methodist after more than 20 years of experience as a registered nurse in a variety of roles and settings. She has worked with oncology patients for more than 10 years. Claudia has a bachelor's degree in nursing and a certification in patient navigation from the National Consortium of Breast Centers.
Houston Methodist San Jacinto Hospital
Alice Freed, BSN, RN, CBCN
Alice joined Houston Methodist San Jacinto Hospital in 2012 in the role of breast care nurse navigator. She has spent 13 years caring for oncology patients in the Texas Medical Center. Alice earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing and is a certified breast care nurse.
Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital
Maria Socci, RN
Maria’s nursing career has mainly been in oncology, serving cancer patients both as a bedside nurse and in leadership positions. Since joining Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital in 2005, she has worked in several positions, with the latest being a Breast Care Navigator.
Frances has been a member of the radiation oncology team at Houston Methodist since 1982. She is involved with community events supporting cancer care and research, including annual prostate screenings, Relay for Life, Pink Ladies Golf Tournament and annual National Survivor Day celebrations.

Erica Esprit, BA, RN, CHW
Erica joined Houston Methodist West Hospital in 2011. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and has been registered nurse for over ten years. She has spent her career serving patients and empowering diverse populations through nursing, case management and advocacy. Erica is also a certified community health worker.

Prior to her role of navigator, she gained her nursing experience caring for oncology patients in the Texas Medical Center. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing and is an oncology-certified nurse.
