Strength & Conditioning

Find a Strength & Conditioning Specialist

If you are transitioning from rehabilitation back to your sport or activity, strength and conditioning sessions can help you achieve peak performance levels. Our licensed physical therapists are also certified strength and conditioning specialists and understand both your injuries and ambitions.

“Return to Play”

No one likes to be sidelined with an injury. Our goal is to get athletes back into action as soon as possible. “Return to play” refers to the point in recovery from an injury when an individual is able to resume his or her sport or activity at the pre-injury level.

After an inactive period, most athletes want to return to normal training; however, this approach increases the risk of injury due to the reduced physical capabilities. Our specialists have expertise developing training programs at reduced levels as part of the rebuilding process, slowly helping athletes regain strength and endurance.

Training sessions are tailored to the individual client, and as strength returns to normal, functional drills and sport-specific movement patterns can be incorporated to help athletes progress with motion, balance, speed, agility, power, strength, endurance and coordination.

Performance Enhancing Training

For the healthy athlete who is ready to “raise the bar,” our services incorporate strength and training techniques, as well as progressive training, to enhance performance and improve skill in your sport or activity.

Training techniques include:

  • Assessing performance, before and after
  • Evaluating progress
  • Teaching and supervising advanced training therapeutic exercises to meet post-injury needs or performance goals
  • Increasing overall strength and conditioning levels
  • Teaching proper lifting techniques
  • Advancing stabilization and flexibility
  • Improving speed, agility, quickness, power and muscular endurance
  • Providing functional sports specific training
  • Supervising and motivating athletes
  • Educating and reinforcing proper biomechanics with exercises
