Hematopathology
The division of surgical hematopathology is staffed by five board certified hematopathologists who evaluate morphologic features of benign and neoplastic hematopoietic disorders. Ancillary studies, such as flow cytometry, PCR, and next generation sequencing-based molecular tests, FISH, and cytogenetics are interpreted in conjunction with morphology to render an integrated interpretation, including diagnosis, prognostic features, and the presence or absence of potential therapeutic targets.
