Clinical Services

The Department of Pathology and Genomic Medicine provides a full range of patient care and diagnostic services for the Houston metropolitan area. We are fully accredited by all relevant agencies (College of American Pathologists, American Association of Blood Banks, and American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics) and are registered with the FDA. Our pathologists are available for rapid or emergency medical consultation, treatment recommendations, and issue resolution 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our clinical pathologists and laboratory scientists provide medical and technical direction and oversight for the laboratory, and we have a proactive and strong commitment to programs that significantly enhance quality, patient safety, and efficiency.
