Autopsy Service

The autopsy service in the Department of Pathology and Genomic Medicine provides service to Houston Methodist Hospital in the Texas Medical Center, and to all of the Houston Methodist Hospital facilities in the greater Houston area. Our faculty pathologists include individuals with expertise in general autopsy pathology, as well as subspecialty expertise in neuropathology, renal and pulmonary pathology, and surgical pathology. The pathology residents and fellows in our Department are also actively involved in the autopsy service throughout the course of their training. Our faculty and trainees are also involved in the presentation of select autopsy cases at interdisciplinary conferences with clinical colleagues from internal medicine, neurology, and other disciplines.
