The Department of Pathology and Genomic Medicine is Houston Methodist’s exclusive pathology provider, providing world-class patient care and pathology services for 8 hospitals and 2,700 beds across greater Houston. That footprint will expand by an additional 400 beds in 2027 with the completion of the Brockman Centennial Tower. As an academic department anchored by a primary affiliation with Weill Cornell Medical College and a partnership with Texas A&M University College of Medicine, we train the next generation of pathologists across ACGME-accredited residency and fellowship programs. We also sustain an active research enterprise in many areas, including cancer biology and infectious diseases.
