Biography

Dr. Hsin-Mei Chen received her Ph.D. in molecular and cell biology from University of Texas at Dallas in 2008. After her doctoral study, she served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in UT-Health and finished her training in 2012. Currently, Dr. Chen is a Research Specialist in Center for Professional Excellence, Houston Methodist Hospital. She trains nursing scholars to perform research and manage research projects and grants. In addition to scientific training, Dr. Chen holds a Bachelor of Education from National Taiwan Normal University, Taiwan an MBA from University of Houston, Houston, Texas.

Description of Research

Dr. Chen would like to bridge the gap of scientific research and clinical practices and eventually improve patient outcomes. She has been involved in several nursing research projects, such as Texas Medical Center fall prevention study.
