The Purpose of the Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) Pharmacy Residency Program for International Graduates is to provide advanced pharmacy training opportunities for international pharmacy graduates. This program develops the resident's clinical, operational and leadership skills necessary to advance pharmacy practice in both US-based or international hospital pharmacy settings. The program is specifically designed with a start date and content to meet the unique needs of the international pharmacist graduate.

Duration:

12 months, starting around September 15th 

Stipend:

Approximately $49,700/year

  • Application form, CV, letter of intent, recommendation letters (3), and all college transcripts (pharmacy and non-pharmacy): due March 1st
  • It is encouraged to send in application materials as early as possible before the deadline as there are a limited number of interview slots. 

Interview:

On-site interview required for candidates not having previous TMH rotation experiences

Licensure Requirements:

Must be a Registered Pharmacist in Texas within 90 days of starting the program

Immigration Status Support:

The department of pharmacy will coordinate with Houston Methodist International to assist prospective residents with immigration
