The Sherrie and Alan
Conover Center for Liver
Disease & Transplantation

Liver Transplant Group
At Houston Methodist, our goal is to foster an environment that supports an interdisciplinary approach to the treatment and care of patients with liver diseases and liver cancer as well as those who require liver transplants. Our multidisciplinary team made of up hepatologists, surgeons and other health care professionals engage in research to identify new forms of immunosuppression, develop strategies for reducing complications and explore new ways to fight post-operative infection through laboratory and clinical trials. The transplants we perform include whole organ, living donor and split-liver transplants — the latter two procedures are relatively rare, complex and represent life-saving options that set our center apart from liver transplant programs at other hospitals
