The best and brightest future neurologists and neurosurgeons receive exceptional training and preparation at Houston Methodist where we offer fully accredited neurology and neurosurgery residency programs, and post-graduate ACGME-accredited fellowship training programs in clinical neurophysiology and neuromuscular medicine.

Neurology Residency Program
The Adult Neurology Residency Training Program is founded upon excellence in training, education and pioneer advances in science and medicine. The four year program, beginning in the PGY1 year, provides comprehensive training in clinical neurology and mentored training in the clinical and basic sciences as a foundation for the practicing neurologist and physician-scientist. 

Neurosurgery Residency Program
The neurosurgery residency is a seven-year program with extensive exposure to surgical techniques, neurology, neuropathology and neuroradiology. It prepares residents for clinical practice and academic careers.

Neuropathology Fellowship Program
The neuropathology fellowship is a one-year program encompassing all aspects of clinical neuropathology.

Neurophysiology Fellowship Program
The neurophysiology fellowship is a one-year program encompassing all aspects of clinical neurophysiology, including electromyography (EMG), electroencephalography (EEG), nerve conduction, sleep, evoked potentials, intra-operative monitoring and other clinical testing.

Neuromuscular Fellowship Program
The neuromuscular fellowship is a one-year program that provides clinical training with specialization in clinical neuromuscular medicine, including electro-diagnostic medicine, neuro-pathology, clinical and translational experience and rehabilitation.

Continuing Medical Education
The office of Continuing Medical Education provides activities that continue our tradition of leading medicine.
