- Orientation (start of residency through July)

- Research/Project Focused Experience
Elective (1 month each)

- Ambulatory Care (emphasis in Oncology)
- Internal Medicine (advanced)
- Neonatal Intensive Care
- Neurology Acute Care
- Transitions of Care
Residents may also repeat any learning experiences in which they have a particular interest.
Longitudinal
Each resident can complete longitudinal activities in:
- ASHP Medication Safety Certificate
- Teaching and Scholarship in Academia Certificate Program - University of Houston College of Pharmacy
Staffing
- Staffing every other weekend in operational and clinical pharmacist roles
- Residents will work one major and one minor holiday
Presentation Opportunities
- Poster presentation at Vizient Resident Poster Session prior to ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting
- Platform Presentation at Alcalde Southwest Leadership Conference and TSHP Conference
Project and Research Experience
- Cost savings initiatives
- Pharmacy medication safety and quality review initiatives
- Major research project with guidance of a preceptor and the Pharmacy Research Committee
- Medication use evaluation or quality analysis of existing protocols
