Center for Computational Surgery
The Center for Computational Surgery consists of a vibrant, interdisciplinary team of scientists dedicated to improving patient outcomes through the use of computational methods which include imaging, robotics, simulation and information technology. In partnership with MITIE and the department of surgery, we bring together a multidisciplinary team comprised of surgical and medical professionals, mathematicians, computer scientists, electrical and bio engineers, to tackle complex surgical problems. We work closely with healthcare providers and industry partners to identify suitable, non-obtrusive solutions to real-world challenges and help advance research in all areas that encompass computational surgery including:
Minimally Invasive Procedures
- Laparoscopy
- Endovascular surgery
- Endoscopy
Unobtrusive and Passive Operating Room Technologies
- Non-invasive tracking
- Logistics
- Optimization
- Safety
Imaging
- Acquisition
- Reconstruction and analysis
- Procedural Guidance
