Developing a relationship with a primary care physician is now more important than ever. Houston Methodist Primary Care Group continues to serve the communities of Montgomery County by offering safe in-person and virtual appointments – and now welcomes three new physicians to its team.

Dr. Alfred Boyd and Dr. Jeffrey Sweeney, both well known in the community, are now caring for patients at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital, Medical Office Building 2, 17189 I-45 South, Suite 205, The Woodlands, TX 77385.

Boyd is a board-certified family medicine physician who specializes in caring for patients of all ages. He is passionate about preventive medicine and his expertise includes routine immunizations, allergies, weight loss management, and depression and anxiety concerns. He has practiced in The Woodlands since 2008, and enjoys spending free time with his family traveling, cooking and playing tennis.

“I believe it is important to establish a strong relationship with all my patients,” Boyd said. “By getting to know them better, I am able to provide a personalized plan for their care.”

Sweeney is a board-certified family medicine physician providing acute and chronic care to his patients. He offers a broad range of clinical expertise, including health screenings, diabetes management, high blood pressure treatment and minor procedures. He has worked in The Woodlands area for 18 years, and is married with three grown children and grandchildren. “My goal is to give my patients the highest quality care,” Sweeney said. “I look forward to forming partnerships with patients, so we can collaborate on their plan of care.”

Dr. Patricia Thompson is serving patients in Montgomery at 21300 Eva St., Suite 100, Montgomery, TX 77356.

Thompson is board-certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics, and has a special interest in children’s health, women’s health and men’s health. She offers complete physicals, routine immunizations, preventive care, and acute and chronic illness management. Originally from Ohio, she has been a physician for 30 years and previously worked in Magnolia. She enjoys spending free time with her family and dogs and playing golf.

“I believe that primary care begins with active listening and adequate time spent with the patient,” Thompson said. “I look forward to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to patients of all ages and their families.”
