At Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital, our patients always come first. That’s why we work hard to make sure you have everything you need to be prepared for your stay with us. Whether you’re coming to us as a patient or as a visitor, we want to ensure that your experience is as convenient and comfortable as possible. Here you’ll find valuable information and resources to help streamline your visit. 

 

A patient liaison is available to answer any questions, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Saturday – Sunday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., by calling 281.274.7806.

Visitor Information

We understand how important family and friends are to a patient’s healing. Each room has furniture that transitions into a bed, and the patient’s nurse can provide a pillow and blanket for a visitor who wishes to spend the night.
  • Visiting hours – We have a 24-hour visitation policy at Houston Methodist Sugar Land. However, visitors entering the hospital between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. are required to sign in at the Emergency Department entrance or the Sweetwater Pavilion North entrance. After 10 p.m., the elevators require badge access

  • Spiritual care – Available 24/7. Chaplains are available, regardless of faith, to assist with prayer, grief and loss counseling, sacraments and religious rituals, family meetings and more. Call 281.274.7164
  • Advance directives – We are available to help with sensitive ethical issues, including establishing a living will or an advance directive. Please watch the following informational video about advance directives before contacting a chaplain for assistance.

  • Dining options ­– We provide on-campus dining options for visitors at the following locations:
    • The Garden Café – Main Pavilion Atrium
      Hours: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., Monday – Friday; 7 a.m. – 2 p.m., Saturday and Sunday
    • Starbucks, three locations
      • Main Pavilion, first floor
        Hours: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., Monday – Friday; 7 a.m. – 2 p.m., Saturday and Sunday
      • Main Pavilion, second floor
        Hours: 7 a.m.–2 p.m., Monday – Friday
      • Sweetwater Pavilion, first floor
        Hours: 7 a.m.–4 p.m.. Monday – Friday
  • Gift shops – The hospital has two gift shops to meet your needs:
    • Brazos Pavilion Gift Shop – located to the right of the main entrance at the end of the connector to the Brazos Pavilion.
      Hours: 9 a.m. – 8 p.m., Monday – Friday; 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Saturday and Sunday
    • Mom and Baby Gift Shop, Sweetwater Pavilion – located at the main entrance to the left of the information desk
      Hours: 9 a.m. – 8 p.m., Monday – Friday; 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Saturday and Sunday
