The Houston Methodist Bridge to Medicine and Research Program is a paid, part-time (20 hours per week) pathway program designed for recent bachelor's level graduates seeking to strengthen their readiness for graduate or medical school.

This program supports individuals who are building their experience, skills and competitiveness for advanced degree programs through mentored research, clinical exposure, professional development and career exploration opportunities.

Eligibibility

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completed bachelor's degree within the last 2 years
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. (U.S. citizens, permanent residents or individuals with valid work authorization, such as F-1, J-1, or EAD)

Who Should Apply?

Recent graduates looking to build experience and strengthen their readiness for graduate or medical school. Students from the following academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply:


  • Biology, chemistry, biochemistry
  • Engineering (biomedical, chemical, mechanical, etc.)
  • Computer science, data science, bioinformatics
  • Public health, Neuroscience, psychology
  • Health sciences or pre-health tracks
