Houston Methodist Longitudinal APPE Program

The Houston Methodist Longitudinal APPE (LAPPE) program is a longitudinal experiential opportunity for fourth year professional pharmacy students. The LAPPE program is designed for highly motivated students in order to maximize students’ experiential education and develop students’ interprofessional skills. This program will prepare students for the residency application process and enable students to obtain their desired postgraduate pharmacy position upon graduation.

The mission of the LAPPE program is to train student pharmacists through a robust training program that integrates clinical experiences with scholarship and professional service that will ultimately improve the provision of health system pharmacy and healthcare once these student pharmacists enter the workforce.

The LAPPE program is offered at five Houston Methodist locations:  Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital, Houston Methodist Hospital-Texas Medical Center, Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital, Houston Methodist West Hospital and Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital.
