Neuropsychological assessments and behavioral interventions are provided for patients receiving inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient rehabilitation several months to several years post-stroke or traumatic brain injury (TBI), MS, ALS, Parkinson's disease, Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), epilepsy and any other
neurologic or comorbid psychiatric conditions.





These assessments identify the patient’s:

  • Need for cognitive rehabilitation services
  • Need for treatment for psychiatric issues
  • Determination of disability due to cognitive deficits
  • Return to work considerations
  • Long-term prognosis
  • Capacity to make decisions
  • Neuropsychotherapy services are available at the Houston Methodist Outpatient

Neurorehabilitation Center for individuals with co-occurring brain injury and emotion regulation difficulties in a service called the Behavioral Regulation and Interpersonal Neurorehabilitation (BRAIN) group.

Dr. Mario Dulay is a neuropsychologist at Houston Methodist Hospital. He earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Cincinnati and completed an internship at Baylor College of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in Houston. He served a neuropsychology fellowship at the Texas Institute for Rehabilitation and Research (TIRR) hospital in Houston, followed by a second fellowship within Baylor’s Department of Neurosurgery. Dr. Dulay is an Assistant Professor of Neuropsychology in Neurological Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College.
