Nature contact plays a vital role in physical, mental, and community well-being, yet many individuals have limited access to nature in their daily lives. In this session of the Health & Nature Series, Jay Maddock, PhD, will explore the current prevalence of nature contact across the United States, examine disparities in access, and review ongoing efforts to expand nature engagement through policy, planning, and public health initiatives. Attendees will also discuss opportunities for innovation to help strengthen connections between people and nature and support a growing movement for health. A dedicated Q&A session will follow the presentation, providing participants with the opportunity to engage directly with the speaker, ask questions, and further explore key topics discussed. After attending this webinar, participants will be able to: 1. Discuss the current prevalence of nature contact 2. Evaluate efforts to increase access to and engagement with nature 3. Develop new initiatives to improve nature contact in their communities
