The Houston Methodist Bridge to Medicine & Research Program is a part-time initiative designed for recent graduates seeking to strengthen their readiness for graduate or medical school.
This program supports individuals who are building their experience, skills and competitiveness for advanced degree programs through mentored research, clinical exposure, professional development and career exploration opportunities.

Program Requirements
• GPA: 3.0 minimum
• Completed bachelor's degree within the past four years
• Only U.S. citizens, legal permanent residents and foreign nationals who already hold a legal visa status (F-1, J-1, EADs) are eligible to apply

Program Details
Unpaid Holiday Breaks: Nov. 23-27, 2026 and Dec. 21, 2026 - Jan. 1, 2027
Compensation: $15/hr.
Target Audience
This program is designed for recent graduates who are seeking additional time to develop their skills and gain meaningful experience for applying to graduate or medical school.
Students from the following academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply:
• Biology, chemistry, biochemistry
• Engineering (biomedical, chemical, mechanical, etc.)
• Computer science, data science, bioinformatics
• Public health sciences or pre-health tracks
