Marc Labbé, M.D., has joined Houston Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital. As an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Labbé’s specialties include rotator cuffs, shoulder replacements, shoulder arthroscopy, shoulder instability, meniscus surgery, elbow arthroscopy, ACL reconstruction, in addition to sports medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine.
Dr. Labbé obtained his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine where he completed his residency. Later, he completed his fellowship at Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center. “The part of my training that had the most significant impact on me was my fellowship,” he said. “I trained with some of the world leaders in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery. They advanced my surgical technique and knowledge a tremendous amount in a short time and they continue to be great friends and mentors.”
In his practice, Dr. Labbé treats a variety of orthopedic issues. He gives sound advice to patients: “feel comfortable with your doctor, the diagnosis and the treatment. Be committed to do your part to achieve the best possible outcome, such as quit smoking if necessary, and follow the rehabilitation protocol assigned to you.
