Dr. Muhanna is a Texas native residency trained therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Southern Methodist University and received her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry. During her graduate training, she was awarded multiple Clinical Letters of Excellence and was given the privilege of attending several international aid trips to provide eye exams for communities that otherwise would not have access to eye care. After graduation, she completed a hospital-based residency in primary eye care with an emphasis on ocular disease at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, TX. She is a proud member of the American Public Health Association, Texas Public Health Association, Texas Optometric Association, American Academy of Optometry, and the American Optometric Association.
