Melissa Wilson
Emmy Award-winning Melissa Wilson is the co-anchor for FOX 26 Morning News weekdays from 7 to 10 a.m. as well as the station’s medical reporter. Prior to making the switch to mornings, Melissa co-anchored the prime-time FOX 26 News at 9p.m. for ten years as part of the longest running anchor team at the station. She has been with FOX for 15 years.  

A Texas native, Melissa is a graduate of Baylor University. She began her career as the evening anchor in Wichita Falls and then went on to anchor for the state-wide network, Florida's News Channel.

Throughout her career, Melissa has interviewed everyone from Vicente Fox, Kofi Annan, Walter Cronkite and Bill O’Reilly to actors like Mark Wahlberg, Vince Vaughn, James Earl Jones and Lucy Liu to dozens of singers, including Garth Brooks, Harry Connick Jr., Josh Groban, Nora Jones and Clay Walker. 

Melissa has received numerous awards and recognitions for her work in the broadcasting field. She has been named one of the "Top 50 Most Influential Women in Houston”, "Personality of the Year", and has been honored with the prestigious "Gracie Award" and several Emmys.  She has been named a "Living Legend", one of Houston's "Most Beautiful Reporters", and one of Houston’s “Most Fit News Anchors”.

Since 2000, Melissa has served as a Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure honorary co-chair and is a member of Komen’s advisory board of directors. She served on the boards of Children at Risk, Lazarus House, March of Dimes, United Way, Harris County Community College Nurse's Association and Baylor Business Network. This year she hosted the 15th Annual Children at Risk Golf Classic.  

In 2013, after covering health care for years, Melissa’s family was faced with their own cancer battle when her son Caleb was diagnosed with leukemia. She shares his journey through her blog, “Caleb’s Courage.”  Since that time, she has helped bring awareness and funds through the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, American Cancer Society, Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Family Alliance and the Sunshine Kids.
