Xishi “James” Tan, MD, has joined Houston Methodist Urology Associates at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital. Dr. Tan graduated from The University of Texas at Austin where he majored in biochemistry. He went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed his internship and residency at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Tan is trained in all aspects of adult general urology including issues relating to prostate disease, kidney and bladder cancer, male hormonal therapy and kidney stones as well as being a trained practitioner of minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgery. Dr. Tan is affiliated with the American Urological Association with honors including being named an IVUmed traveling resident scholar and an AUA resident essay finalist.
