Houston Methodist Rehabilitation Services at Willowbrook celebrates opening of new facility with open house and blessing ceremony  

HOUSTON - (October 23, 2015) – Houston Methodist Rehabilitation Services at Willowbrook recently celebrated the opening of their state-of-the-art outpatient rehabilitation services facility with a blessing and open house. Rehabilitation services staff and patients, Houston Methodist Willowbrook physicians, staff and hospital leadership attended the open house located on the second floor of the Centerfield Building.

“About five years ago we set out to develop a comprehensive orthopedics and sports medicine program in Northwest Houston. Because of the dedication of the team at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital, we are able to take care of very elite athletes here. I want to acknowledge the great work here and everyone’s continuous focus on providing the best program possible in Northwest Houston,” said Scott Rand, MD, FAAFP CAQSM, primary care sports medicine, Houston Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine at Willowbrook.

The 14,866 square feet, state-of-the-art floor space is tailored to meet the specific needs of various rehabilitations programs and services. Physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech pathologists work in collaboration with referring physicians and athletic trainers to better accommodate the rehabilitative needs of all patients, all under one roof.

“Our multidisciplinary rehabilitation team collaborates extensively to support patients and provide a continuum of care that enables patients to recover from illness, injury and disease.
