Houston Methodist Physician Clinics in League City is celebrating its one-year anniversary with expanded services for the community.

The facility – which opened on Aug. 13, 2018, in the Tuscan Lakes area – now has two new physicians onsite and will soon have a larger physical therapy space with new equipment and staff.

Located at 2220 E. League City Parkway, the Physician Clinics offers primary care, orthopedics and sports medicine, physical and occupational therapy and X-ray services in one convenient location. The Physician Clinics also includes a sports performance turf lane for throwing, running and agility rehabilitation and training, as well as a vertical jump training machine.

“The Physician Clinics fills a critical need for close-to-home, specialized care for League City residents,” said Dan Newman, Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital CEO. “The Tuscan Lakes area is fast-growing and we’re definitely seeing that growth reflected in our patient volumes at the facility. It’s exciting to be able to respond to all the new development with additional physicians and new services.”

Primary care physician Donald D. Brown Jr., D.O., is now seeing patients at the Physician Clinics office. Brown earned his doctor of osteopathy degree at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in internal medicine at Nassau University Medical Center, also in New York.

His clinical expertise includes the full range of internal medicine and primary care issues, including the diagnosis and management of chronic illnesses.

“My philosophy is one of partnership with my patients to help them lead healthy, productive lives,” Brown said. “I look forward to serving families from across the Bay Area by focusing on Houston Methodist’s ICARE values – integrity, compassion, accountability, respect and excellence.”

New Houston Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine surgeon J. Sawyer Croley, M.D., is also seeing patients at the Physician Clinics in Suite 200.

Croley specializes in partial and total knee replacement, hip replacement, reconstructive surgery of the knee and hip and minimally invasive surgery. His expertise includes the ability to perform direct anterior hip replacements, which drastically reduces recovery times, as well as unicompartmental knee arthroplasty, also known as partial knee replacement.

He is a graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where he also completed his residency in orthopedic surgery. Most recently, he completed an advanced fellowship in adult reconstruction surgery at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.

“My approach to care involves listening to and working with each patient to develop a customized treatment plan that fits their unique situation and lifestyle,” Croley said. “I’m excited to join my new colleagues at Houston Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine and begin serving the Bay Area and surrounding communities.”
