Houston Methodist Hospital was named to U.S. News & World Report’s Honor Roll (best hospitals in the country) for the ninth time and is the No. 1 hospital in Texas, marking the 14th consecutive year at the top.

 

Four additional Houston Methodist hospitals were ranked statewide. Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital ranked No. 8 in Texas and No. 5 in the Houston metro area. Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital tied (three-way) for No. 9 in Texas and ranked No. 6 in the Houston metro area. Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital ranked No. 12 in Texas and No. 7 in the Houston metro area. Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital ranked No. 21 in Texas and No. 9 in the Houston metro area.

 

  • Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital was recognized for 22 types of care, including eight high-performing specialties: cardiology, heart & vascular surgery; diabetes & endocrinology; gastroenterology & GI surgery; geriatrics; neurology & neurosurgery; orthopedics; pulmonology & lung surgery; and urology. The hospital was also highlighted for 14 high-performing procedures and conditions: colon cancer surgery; COPD; diabetes; heart arrhythmia; heart attack; heart failure; kidney failure; knee replacement; leukemia, lymphoma, & myeloma; pacemaker implantation; pneumonia; prostate cancer surgery; spinal fusion; and stroke.
  • Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital ranked No. 45 nationally for its diabetes and endocrinology specialties. Overall, the hospital was recognized for 17 types of care, including four high-performing specialties: geriatrics, neurology & neurosurgery, pulmonology & lung surgery, and urology, as well as 13 high-performing procedures and conditions: colon cancer surgery; COPD; diabetes; heart arrhythmia; heart attack; heart failure; hip fracture; kidney failure; leukemia, lymphoma, & myeloma; pacemaker implantation; pneumonia; spinal fusion; and stroke.
  • Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital ranked nationally in two specialties: No. 47 in diabetes & endocrinology and two-way tied at No. 47 for cardiology, heart & vascular surgery. Overall, the hospital was recognized for 13 types of care, including five high-performing specialties: gastroenterology & GI surgery; geriatrics, neurology & neurosurgery, pulmonology & lung surgery, and urology, as well as eight high-performing procedures and conditions: COPD, diabetes, heart arrhythmia, heart attack, heart failure, kidney failure, pneumonia, and stroke.
  • Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital was recognized for 11 types of care, including its high-performing specialty in gastroenterology & GI surgery, as well as 10 high-performing procedures and conditions: colon cancer surgery, COPD, diabetes, heart arrhythmia, heart attack, heart failure, hip fracture, kidney failure, pneumonia, and stroke.
