Dr. Timothy Connolly's areas of clinical interest include medical education, COPD, sleep apnea, asthma, advanced bronchoscopy and sports-related lung injuries. Over the years, he has participated in the care of elite athletes from the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NCAA as well as triathletes and regular 'weekend warriors.' He performs specialized bronchoscopic procedures such as endobronchial ultrasound, bronchial thermoplasty, cryotherapy, argon plasma coagulation, and implantation of endobronchial valves for lung volume reduction as treatment for emphysema.
Dr. Connolly served as the clinical service chief for the Pulmonary Division at Houston Methodist Hospital from 2012-2015. He is currently the medical director of respiratory care services as well as a key faculty member for the Houston Methodist Hospital Pulmonary Fellowship program.
