I am a board-certified nephrologist with more than 18 years of experience managing kidney disease. My practice focuses on preserving renal function, delaying dialysis, treating hypertension, acute and chronic kidney disease, and providing post-transplant care through individualized treatment plans.

Dr. Hussain graduated from the Nephrology Fellowship program at Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, WI in 2002, finished Transplant fellowship in 2003 and Masters in Epidemiology also.

He Joined as Faculty at the Medical College of Wisconsin and VAMC in 2003 and continued for 6 years. Later moved to Pakistan due to Family r4easons and joined as head of Nephrology at a  prestigious institute as The Aga Khan University Hospital. There he started a kidney transplant program and made significant improvements in the overall care of renal patients.

In 2012, he moved back to the USA and joined a private practice in Lexington, KY as a partner. Now in August 2020, Due to family interests, Dr. Hussain moved to Houston Tx and is working in Katy and Sugar Land areas as a nephrologist. He works under the name of Nephrology Associates of Greater Houston, PLLC. Currently rounding at Houston Methodist Hospital, West - Katy and Sugar Land locations.
