Dr. Salman Ahmed provides world class, evidence-based kidney care to patients with renal disorders and hypertension. As a former Chief Medical Resident at Baylor College of Medicine and Clinical and Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital, he has trained extensively in the field of Nephrology. He may be consulted for the full spectrum of renal disorders and hypertension, including acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, critical care nephrology, and resistant hypertension.
Dr. Ahmed grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; South Pasadena, California; and Alice, Texas before coming to call Houston, Texas his hometown. He is a graduate of Rice University (B.S. Biochemistry), Baylor College of Medicine (M.D.), and Harvard University (M.P.H.). He enjoys reading, running, spending time with family, and travel.
