Dr. Khan is a native Texan, originally from Fort Worth where he attended Texas Christian University for his undergraduate studies in biology, chemistry, and music/vocal performance. He first came to Houston for medical school at Baylor College of Medicine where he discovered his passion for understanding Cardiovascular Disease and graduated with Honors. He then ventured to Baltimore, Maryland to complete his rigorous training in Internal Medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. His love for family and the vibrant, diverse city of Houston led him to return for his fellowship training in Cardiovascular Diseases at the Texas Heart Institute. Dr. Khan completed an additional subspecialty fellowship in Interventional Cardiology after discovering his natural talents as a proceduralist. Dr. Khan is motivated to provide the highest quality, safe, and thoughtful care in the treatment of coronary artery disease, valvular disease, congestive heart failure, rhythm disorders, and peripheral vascular disease, among many other cardiovascular conditions. He specializes in coronary, peripheral, and structural interventions including transcatheter aortic valve replacement. He aims to combine his medical education at the country’s leading institutions on the cutting edge with the strong belief that people have the power to take charge of their own health, encouraging his community to lead healthy and happy lives.
