About Dr. Monica Sanchez Shields
Dr. Monica Sanchez Shields is a board-certified cardiologist specializing in cardiovascular disease and echocardiography. Early in her career, as a member of the American College of Cardiology, Dr. Shields visited Washington D.C. to speak to Texas House and Senate Members about the future of cardiovascular disease. As a spokesperson for the American Heart Association, she has given many talks to the community and organizations about heart attack awareness and heart disease prevention.

I will be re-opening my private practice in the Medical Center and will no longer practice with the Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group- Southside Place after August 11, 2023.
