About Dr. Michelle Coleman
"Whether treating athletes with sports-related injuries or individuals seeking relief from chronic conditions, my goal is to help my patients restore their strength and confidence, empowering them to pursue the activities they love." Â
Dr. Coleman is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and foot and ankle specialist. After graduating from Vanderbilt School of Medicine, she completed her residency at Baylor College of Medicine and her foot and ankle fellowship at Medstar Union Memorial in Baltimore. Dr. Coleman has broad interest in foot and ankle pathologies including sports injuries, arthritis, fractures, and foot and ankle deformities. Dr. Coleman is a passionate educator, serving as Associate Program Director for the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency. Dr. Coleman also participates in research to help understand the best ways to diagnose and treat various foot and ankle problems. She is an active member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS), serving on the research committee and serving as the 2024 Pre-Program Co-chair for the AOFAS Annual Meeting. In addition, Dr. Coleman serves as a reviewer for several scientific journals including JBJS, JAAOS, FAI, and FAO.
