About Dr. Matthew Tran

Matthew V.P. Tran, M.D. is a board-certified cardiologist with training in cardiovascular imaging, vascular medicine, and cardiac catheterization. He earned his medical degree with Distinction in Patient Safety and Quality Improvement from UT Southwestern, completed his internal medicine residency at Stanford Health Care, and his cardiology fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell.
Dr. Tran's research focuses on improving cardiovascular outcomes and prevention, addressing health disparities, and applying machine learning to cardiac imaging.
Teaching sessions for trainees and participates in community health initiatives to improve access to heart care for underserved populations. He strives to combine cutting-edge science with compassionate, individualized care—helping each patient understand their condition and make confident, informed decisions about their heart health.
