Dr. Stephens is a board-certified, fellowship-trained General and Bariatric at the Houston Methodist Department of Surgery in Clear Lake, Texas.
He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. Stephens completed his residency in General Surgery at the University of Toledo Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio and his fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Stephen’s clinical interests include obesity medicine, minimally invasive reflex (GERD)/hiatal hernia/foregut surgery, mass/cyst/skin lesion removal, minimally invasive bariatric/weight-loss surgery, hernia/abdominal wall surgery, and gallbladder/bile duct surgery.
His professional affiliations include the American Board of Obesity Medicine, the American College of Surgeons, the American Foregut Society, the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
