About Dr. Ketan Prakash Koranne

Prior to coming to Houston Methodist Debakey Cardiology, Dr. Koranne was the medical director of the electrophysiology program and the program director of the cardiology fellowship program. Dr. Koranne received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2009 at the Grant Medical College of Sir JJ Group of Hospitals in Mumbai, India. He came to Texas to complete his internship and residency in Internal Medicine in 2013 at UT Health Science Center in Houston. Dr. Koranne then completed his Fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases in 2016, serving as Chief Fellow from 2015-2016 at MD Anderson Cancer Center. To finish out his training, he moved to the Texas Heart Institute and Baylor College of Medicine to complete his fellowship in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 3 specialties - internal medicine, clinical cardiac electrophysiology, and cardiovascular disease. Dr. Koranne is certified by the National Board of Electrocardiography and is a Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society.
