About Dr. Jeffrey D. Friedman

Dr. Friedman is board certified in Plastic Surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is the past Chair of the American Board of Plastic Surgery (2024). He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, in 1985, followed by an internship at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1986. He completed his General Surgery residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, in 1992, followed by a Plastic Surgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He subsequently completed a fellowship at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California, in 1993.
In 2005, Dr. Friedman joined Houston Methodist Hospital, where he serves as Division Chief and Chief of Plastic Surgery at the Houston Methodist Hospital Institute for Reconstructive Surgery. With extensive experience in both aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, his areas of expertise include aesthetic plastic surgery, breast surgery including implant based reconstruction, facial rejuvenation and facial plastic surgery, and general reconstructive plastic surgery.
