About Dr. Eleonora Avenatti
"As a Cardiometabolic and Obesity Specialist my goal is to provide compassionate, personalized, patient centered and evidence-based care to my patients, focusing on the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases."
Dr. Avenatti obtained her MD degree in Italy, at the University of Turin, one of the oldest in her country. She then proceeded to complete a Residency and Fellowship in Internal and Emergency Medicine in the same Institution. During that time she developed a keen interest in clinical research and specifically echocardiography and cardiovascular risk factors management.
She spent five years in clinical research, working in Boston (Tufts University), Houston (Houston Methodist DeBakey Heart and Vascular Center), and New York (Cardiovascular Research Foundation and Columbia University). She then returned to clinical practice and completed her U.S. Internal Medicine residency, followed by a fellowship in Cardiac Prevention, both at Houston Methodist Hospital.
