About Dr. Deepal Shah

Dr. Deepal Shah began her medical training in India, where she earned her MBBS degree. She later moved to the United States to continue her education and completed a Master of Public Health at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
Dr. Shah then pursued her lifelong goal of becoming a neurologist by completing her Neurology residency at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, Mississippi. She went on to receive advanced fellowship training in Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology at the same institution, developing special expertise in seizure disorders and diagnostic neurophysiology.
She started her medical career in College Station, Texas, at CHI St. Joseph Health, where she helped establish the region’s first state‑of‑the‑art Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. During this time, she provided comprehensive neurological care, with a particular focus on epilepsy.
