About Dr. Darshan Patel
"My goal is to utilize a patient-centered approach in the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic injuries of the hand, wrist and elbow. After thorough education and discussion, I execute a treatment strategy with the goal of allowing the patient to return to their activities at the highest level."
Dr. Darshan Patel is a board-certified, and fellowship-trained orthopedic hand surgeon. His expertise includes hand, wrist and elbow surgery.
Dr. Patel earned his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas. Upon graduation, he returned home where he completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Baylor College of Medicine in the prestigious Texas Medical Center in Houston. He spent an additional year of training completing his fellowship in Hand/Upper Extremity Surgery at the University of California-San Diego.
Dr. Patel’s clinical interests include treatment of compression neuropathies (i.e. carpal tunnel release, cubital tunnel release), trigger finger release, hand/wrist/elbow fracture repair, sports injuries, tendon/nerve repair for lacerations, and excision of various lumps/bumps/cysts.Â
