About Dr. Cassandra K. Schakett
"I strive to deliver personalized care to patients at all stages of life and pride myself in treating my patients as I would my own family. My goal is for each person to feel heard, informed and supported. Through compassion and sound clinical knowledge, from routine checkup to specialized surgery, I provide my patients with individualized, collaborative and empathetic care."
Dr. Schakett grew up in New York and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame. As an undergraduate, she participated in medical mission and volunteer work in Mexico, Spain, and Uganda, experiences that helped shape her compassionate approach to patient care. She completed her medical training in the Texas Medical Center and was elected Administrative Chief Resident by her peers and mentors during her obstetrics and gynecology residency.
Upon completing her training, she received the Outstanding Chief Resident of the Year Award. Dr. Schakett was also part of the first residency class to earn certification in Da Vinci robotic surgical training and was recognized by Houstonia Magazine as a Best Doctor in 2020. Dr. Schakett is certified by The Menopause Society.
