Dr. Simon earned her medical degree, with honors, from University College Cork Faculty of Medicine in Ireland in 2002 and completed internship and residency in general surgery at Brown University Program, Rhode Island Hospital, in Providence Rhode Island. She completed her research fellowship in Diagnostic Imaging at Brown University in 2006 and a second fellowship in Abdominal Transplantation and Hepatobiliary surgery, ASTS certified, at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington, Massachusetts in 2013. Dr. Simon’s clinical interests include benign and malignant tumors of the liver, bile duct and pancreas, hepatocellular carcinoma, kidney transplantation, Klatskin tumors, living donor and deceased donor liver transplantation, pancreatic carcinoma, robotic surgery, and surgery for portal hypertension. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and is board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS).
