About Dr. Ashish Saharia
"My goal is to provide quality surgical care in a compassionate manner to each of my patients. My clinical interests include liver, pancreas, robotic, and liver transplant surgery."
Ashish Saharia, MD, MS, FACS, is an Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine. He is the Director of Liver Transplantation at the J.C. Walter Transplant Center at the Department of Surgery. He specializes in open and laparoscopic liver and pancreas surgery, abdominal transplant surgery, and pancreatic and liver cancers. His research focuses on transplantation for large, inoperable intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. Dr. Saharia earned his medical degree and completed training in general and cancer surgery in India before pursuing two fellowships in the United States—one in Pediatric Cancer Surgery at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and another in Transplant Surgery at the University of Tennessee. He completed a second general surgery residency at Houston Methodist.
