Andrew George, MD is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine at Houston Methodist Hospital in the Texas Medical Center, with a specific interest in surgical and non-surgical care of the knee, shoulder, and elbow. He graduated summa cum laude from Northwestern University and earned his medical degree from Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine. He then completed orthopedic surgery residency at Houston Methodist, where he served as chief resident, and sports medicine fellowship at Stanford, where he gained subspecialized training in complex arthroscopic and open surgery of the knee, shoulder, and elbow, including shoulder replacement and knee cartilage restoration. He has previously served as a team physician for Stanford Football, Stanford Baseball, and the Athletics Major League Baseball team.
