The I Care in Action program offers Houston Methodist a unique opportunity to make contributions in the Greater Houston community

Houston Methodist grants eligible employees some paid time to volunteer at approved community organizations because of our unwavering commitment to the I CARE values of integrity, compassion, accountability, respect and excellence.

Since the program's inception, Houston Methodist employees have given more than 26,000 hours of volunteer time to more than 30 charity organizations across the city. Our employees are recognized in the community by the signature red I CARE shirt which symbolizes our commitment to serve beyond our hospital walls.

How to register to be a volunteer:
1. Click the "Volunteer" tab below and select "Create Volunteer Profile."
2. Complete profile utilizing your Houston Methodist email address.
3. Employees will receive a confirmation email with a temporary password and instructions on how to log back in and begin volunteering.

Forms and policies:
To receive credit for volunteering through I CARE in Action, employees will need to download the volunteer form and take it to the next volunteer event. Make sure to have the on-site volunteer coordinator sign it. Employees will return the signed volunteer form to their direct supervisor who will then enter the volunteer hours into LaborWorx using the CARES code.  For more information on I CARE In Action, submit questions to
