SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY THROUGH VOLUNTEERISM

In support of Houston Methodist's commitment to the I CARE values of integrity, compassion, accountability, respect and excellence, eligible employees are encouraged to take time off to volunteer at approved community organizations through I CARE in Action, the system’s official employee volunteer program. Since the program's inception, Houston Methodist employees have contributed more than 30,000 hours of volunteer time to the Greater Houston area. With more than 40 participating nonprofit partners, employees are able to give their time and talents to support the most vulnerable of our community.

 

You must be an active employee of Houston Methodist and have a registered volunteer profile to participate. To register as a volunteer for the program, to sign up to participate in individual or group volunteer events or to see a current list of approved community organizations, please review the tabs below. 2022 i CARE in Action Week

In celebration of I CARE in Action’s 10th anniversary, I CARE in Action Week will take place over two weeks! Oct. 3 - 7, Houston Methodist employees can donate, sort and package food items for the Houston and Montgomery County food banks through a system-wide food drive. Click here for a list of donation bin locations by entity. Oct. 10 - 14, employees will be on site at the food banks, inspecting and sorting food items and working alongside colleagues in the fight against hunger.
