SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY THROUGH VOLUNTEERISM

In support of Houston Methodist's commitment to the I CARE values of integrity, compassion, accountability, respect and excellence, eligible employees are encouraged to take time off to volunteer at approved community organizations through I CARE in Action, the system’s official employee volunteer program. Since the program's inception, Houston Methodist employees have contributed more than 30,000 hours of volunteer time to the Greater Houston area. With more than 40 participating nonprofit partners, employees are able to give their time and talents to support the most vulnerable of our community.

You must be an active employee of Houston Methodist and have a registered volunteer profile to participate. To register as a volunteer for the program, to sign up to participate in individual or group volunteer events or to see a current list of approved community organizations, please review the tabs below. For more information, please review our Frequently Asked Questions or contact us.

Capturing Employees in Action

Our employees can be recognized out in the community by their red I CARE shirts, which symbolize Houston Methodist's commitment to serve beyond our hospital walls. Click here to see Houston Methodist employees supporting community members experiencing food insecurity during our 2020 I CARE in Action week.
