Frequently Asked Questions

This event is only open to nurses, including PRNs, currently employed with Houston Methodist Hospital, Houston Methodist Baytown, Houston Methodist Clear Lake, Houston Methodist Continuing Care, Houston Methodist Cypress, Houston Methodist Sugar Land, Houston Methodist West, Houston Methodist Willowbrook, and Houston Methodist The Woodlands, and their guests (one each). No one under 18 will be admitted.

1. Go to www.houstonmethodist.org/nurses-gala. Click the “Register Now” button at the top of the page.
2. Enter your 7-digit employee ID, employee email, first name, last name, select your entity and enter your nursing unit name. Your 7-digit employee ID must be entered exactly as it appears on the back of your badge.
3. Check the box if you are bringing a guest (guests must be over 18 years old.)
4. Select your payment method as payroll deduction.
5. Click the "Continue" button
6. Check the box to confirm that you understand that your registration fee is nonrefundable. You will be charged regardless of attendance.
7. You will be asked to enter your network ID (this is different from your 7-digit employee ID) and your current network password.
8. The cost for event registration will be deducted from your May 21 paycheck.
9. Print out your confirmation and bring your badge to the event.
10. Tickets are non-refundable. You will be charged regardless of attendance.
11. Registration will close on Monday, April 20, at 5 p.m.*

5. If you choose to pay by credit card, you will be directed to Cybersource, our secure payment gateway. Please do not hit your browser’s back button during the payment process. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.
6. Check the box to confirm that you understand that your registration fee is nonrefundable. You will be charged regardless of attendance.
7. Click the "Continue" button.
8. Enter your credit card information, and print out your confirmation page for your records.
9. You will receive two credit card receipt emails from support@cybersource.com. The two confirmations do not mean you've been charged twice. One will be the authorization of the charge and the second will be the confirmation that your credit card has been charged.
10. Print out your confirmation and bring your badge to the event.
11. Tickets are non-refundable. You will be charged regardless of attendance.
12. Registration will close on Monday, April 20, at 5 p.m.*

You will need to contact nursesgala@houstonmethodist.org to cancel your registration and re-register with a guest.

Only your employee badge will allow entrance. This is your only ticket for you and your guest. If you register a guest, you must arrive with your guest for them to be checked in and receive food and drink tickets. Your employee badge will be scanned upon entrance to the Marriott Marquis, so please do not arrive separately from your guest. There will not be registration tables. There will not be tickets sold at the door.

No, registration is non-transferable. Registration fees are non-refundable.

Yes, there is a Houston Methodist discounted room block at the following hotel:

• Marriott Marquis Houston – Book your discounted group rate of $309 per night, plus fees for the Houston Methodist Nurses Gala Room Block. Reservation deadline for discounted rate/room block is April 16, 2026.

Self-parking will be available for a reduced rate in the Avenida North Parking Garage, located at 701 Avenida De Las Americas. There are entrances via Rusk and Capitol Streets. Access to hotel via the sky bridge on the 2nd floor. Valet will also be available.

If parking in the Avenida North parking garage or valet please remember to bring your parking ticket inside to validate and receive a discounted rate. 

NOTE:

• Discounted parking is NOT available in the Avenida South Parking Garage.
• Valet: If you valet, please let them know you are with Houston Methodist for a discounted rate

There is no assigned seating for this event. There is not a seated dinner, but several buffets placed throughout the facility. Please mingle with your colleagues and enjoy flexible seating.

We will have buffet-style meals located outside the ballroom. Please note, the buffet will be open from 7:00-10 pm. There will be a reduced amount of food available 9:30-10 pm. All food service will end at 10 pm.

Yes, there will be a full bar and each guest will receive one (1) complimentary drink ticket for alcoholic beverages. Additional alcoholic drink tickets will be available for purchase on the day of upon arrival to the venue.

Non-alcoholic drinks will be free. Sodas and water are unlimited.

The Help Desk will be near check-in for those who forget their employee badges. While our volunteers will do their absolute best to accommodate everyone as quickly as possible, there might be a delay in entrance for you and your guest if you forget your badge. Please plan ahead and make sure you bring your badge with you to the event. This is your ticket for you and your guest.

Attire is cocktail or formal. Guests are invited to incorporate elements inspired by the Healing Garden theme through elegant colors, textures, or floral accents.
