MULTIDIMENSIONAL IMAGING
It starts with the pre-surgery CT scan of the patient’s face. With 3D, 4D and even 5D imaging, diagnostic engineers can create a digital model of the patient’s face, jaw and skull. Doctors use this model to intricately plan the facial reconstruction procedure. While in surgery, Houston Methodist doctors also employ real-time CT scans and magnetic resonance imaging (MRIs) for even greater accuracy.
