Dr. Luis Pulido is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee joint replacement surgery as well as hip preservation. He received his medical degree from Universidad CES in Medellin, Colombia. He then went on to complete a postdoctoral research fellowship at Rothman Institute Orthopedics in Philadelphia. Dr. Pulido then completed both an orthopedic residency followed by a clinical fellowship in adult reconstruction of the hip and knee at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. Dr. Pulido was awarded the Hip Society's M.E. Muller Foundation of North America, where he was able to learn surgical techniques from hip surgeons in Europe.
Dr. Pulido is fluent in both Spanish and English. His areas of special interest are hip and knee replacement surgery and the surgical management of the young adult with hip pain (symptomatic hip dysplasia).
