Francoise Vandaele, MD has been in private practice as an OBGYN physician since 1984. Dr. Vandaele is a native of France, where she graduated from medical school.

While an obstetrics and gynecology resident and assistant professor at UTMB, Dr. Vandaele developed special interests in adolescent medicine and managed the teen pregnancy clinic as a grantee from March of Dimes. From 1984 to 2013 she served as a clinical assistant professor at UTMB.

As a private practitioner, Dr. Vandaele has enjoyed delivering thousands of babies in Galveston County and caring for women of all ages while developing long-term, professional relationships with the whole family - often caring for three generations in a climate of trust.

She delivers care for the whole person by working with primary care physicians to enhance the wellbeing of her patients. She conducts thorough interviews and examinations (not rushing her patients but taking the time to listen). Dr. Vandaele is interested in nutrition and lifestyle changes that can help her patients achieve their wellness goals. She is mindful of the delicate balance many women experience managing their roles as wife, mother and daughter, as well as working full time.

Dr. Vandaele feels that life is a growing and learning journey and enjoys keeping abreast of new surgical minimally invasive technologies, including Da Vinci robotic surgery. She is a skilled vaginal and abdominal surgeon, specifically correcting problems women encounter as they mature.

As a cancer survivor, Dr. Vandaele cares for the special needs of gynecologic and breast cancer patients, guiding them through the emotional and physical roller coaster and stress the disease places on them. From 2005 to 2011, she was the president of the nonprofit organization, D'Feet Breast cancer, which provides free screening and diagnostic mammograms to uninsured or underinsured Galveston County women. In that position she was awarded by the Galve
