Dr. Daniel Lehane is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in medical oncology. He is the distinguished chair of medical oncology and an associate professor of medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine. In addition, he is the oncology subspecialty education coordinator for the Houston Methodist Department of Internal Medicine residency program.
After completing medical training at State University of New York at Buffalo, Dr. Lehane completed a residency in internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his fellowship in clinical oncology at Baylor College of Medicine and later served as chief of medical oncology at Houston VA Hospital. Dr. Lehane is the interim course director for the Houston Methodist Cancer Center and moderator for both the breast and colorectal tumor boards. He is the principal investigator for Southwest Oncology Group for the Houston Methodist Cancer Center, a member of the NRG oncology clinical research group, and a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He sees patients at Houston Methodist Hospital.
