Curriculum

Our curriculum and rotation schedule offers immense flexibility with scheduling and the opportunity to be tailored to your career plans. We offer a total of 14 months of electives (3 months in PGY 5 and most of PGY 6 year). Fellows have the ability to reach COCATS Level 2 in several subspecialties during their three-year training program. It is also possible to reach COCATS Level 3 in Echocardiography.

*Elective months can comprise of any rotations. Non-standard elective options include: CV Surgery/Anesthesia, Pulmonary Hypertenstion, Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital (community), Adult Congenital Heart Disease,and Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging (CMR).
